PROTEFIX P23 / P25 / P27 — Vibration-Isolating Mount for Walls and Ceilings

PROTEFIX P23 / P25 / P27
Purpose
To improve structural sound insulation in drywall systems by decoupling frame elements from structural surfaces. Used for both ceiling and wall applications.
Description
Anti-vibration suspension system with polyurethane elastomer core, used to decouple ceiling and wall frames from structural noise. Supports up to 30 kg per mount and reduces noise transmission by up to 20 dB. Temperature resistance: -30°C to +70°C Lifespan: >30 years
Application
Used in drywall frame construction for walls and suspended ceilings to improve Soundproofing insulation. Ensures vibration decoupling and enhances soundproofing in frequencies 125–1000 Hz.
Delivery Forms
P23:
Steel body with 23 mm embedded polyurethane elastomer
Dimensions: 98 x 40 mm
Height: 154 mm
Load capacity: During installation works, the maximum load on one hanger will not exceed 30 kg. The optimal recommended load will be in the range of 8–14 kg.
P25:
Steel body with 25 mm embedded polyurethane elastomer
Dimensions: 98 x 40 mm
Height: 154 mm
Load capacity: During installation works, the maximum load on one hanger will not exceed 30 kg. The optimal recommended load will be in the range of 8–14 kg.
P27:
Steel body with 27 mm embedded polyurethane elastomer
Dimensions: 98 x 40 mm
Height: 154 mm
Load capacity: During installation works, the maximum load on one hanger will not exceed 30 kg. The optimal recommended load will be in the range of 7–12 kg.
Anti-Vibration Suspension for Decoupled Frame Systems
PROTEFIX P23 / P25 / P27 is a precision-engineered suspension element designed to isolate drywall frame structures from structural ceilings and walls. By integrating a polyurethane elastomer core within a galvanized steel body, it prevents rigid contact and suppresses vibration transfer between structural and non-structural components. This allows for substantial improvement in acoustic comfort in both residential and commercial spaces. It is used in ceiling and wall assemblies to reduce structure-borne sound, especially in rooms that demand enhanced soundproofing — such as offices, studios, clinics, hotels, and multi-family housing.

Key Benefits and Functions
- Reduces vibration and impact transmission by up to 20 dB
- Long-lasting polyurethane elastomer — resistant to temperature extremes and aging
- Dual thickness elastomer core available (12.5 mm or 25 mm) to suit different performance needs
- Suitable for horizontal and vertical installations
- Ideal for mid- to high-frequency acoustic insulation (125–1000 Hz)
- No rigid connection between frame and structure
- Durable galvanized steel body
Typical Applications
- Suspended drywall ceilings in residential or commercial buildings
- Partition wall systems requiring acoustic isolation
- Acoustic control in recording studios or conference rooms
- Technical facilities or mechanical rooms
- Anywhere where vibration decoupling is essential

Installation Guide
Installing PROTEFIX P23 / P25 / P27 is straightforward and does not require specialized tools:
1.
Fix the hanger to the ceiling or wall using appropriate screws or dowels.
2.
Mount the metal frame (e.g., CD or UD profiles) into the suspension bracket, ensuring secure contact with the elastomeric insert.
3.
Avoid rigid fixing to prevent sound bridges.
4.
Maintain vertical alignment and observe spacing standards per acoustic design requirements.
For optimal acoustic insulation, PROTEFIX P23 / P25 / P27 should be used in combination with acoustic mats (e.g., SONO-ECO or SONOTIZ BLOCK) and resilient profiles.
Storage and Maintenance
- Store in a dry, cool environment away from direct sunlight.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to humidity or corrosive agents.
- Clean only with a dry cloth — do not use chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Shelf life: 36+ months under correct conditions.
