SonoAir Buffer (for Stretch Ceilings)
What it solves:
Prevents the typical “drum effect” of stretch ceilings, where impact noise and vibrations from above are amplified and resonate into the room. This system effectively absorbs vibrations and reduces airborne noise, making it ideal for already finished spaces.
System Composition:
First layer of
SONOTIZ AT
(12mm), glued directly to the concrete ceiling using
SONOBOND GLUE
2–3 cm wooden battens mounted horizontally to create a fixing surface
Second layer of
SONOTIZ AT,
stapled onto the wooden battens
The stretch ceiling membrane is installed below, leaving an air cavity
Important:
Without proper insulation, stretch ceilings often amplify noise. The SONOTIZ double-layer system neutralizes this effect and dramatically improves acoustic comfort.
