SONOTIZ AT — Multilayer Acoustic and Thermal Insulation Mat
Overview
SONOTIZ AT is a high-performance multilayer insulation mat engineered for professional soundproofing and thermal protection. It features a dense SONO-ECO fiberglass core wrapped in non-woven spunbond layers for added resilience, decoupling, and durability. The mat delivers excellent performance in reducing impact sound, airborne noise, and heat transfer — making it ideal for floors, walls, ceilings, and complex architectural spaces.
Manufactured without binders, the fiberglass mat maintains integrity at temperatures up to 650°C and achieves a non-combustible fire classification A2:s1,d0 under EN 13501-1 standards.
Key Benefits
Impact Noise Reduction: Up to –24 dB, measured per DIN EN ISO 10140-1 to 5:2021-09
Fire Rating: A2:s1,d0 (non-combustible, low smoke)
Fire Rating: A2:s1,d0 (non-combustible, low smoke)
Decoupling Layer: Prevents cracking in tiles and screeds due to structural movement
Robust Composition: Resistant to pressure, vibration, and long-term wear
Structure and Materials
SONOTIZ AT is constructed from:
Core: High-density E-glass fiberglass (SONO Eco)
Top/Bottom Layers: Aluminized or spunbond non-woven protection
Assembly: Mechanically pressed without binders or adhesives
This combination ensures excellent sound absorption, vibration damping, and structural resilience.
Applications
SONOTIZ AT is suitable for:
Recording studios, home theaters, public cinemas
Wall, floor, and ceiling insulation in residential and commercial buildings
Apartments, hotels, and acoustic renovation projects
Mechanical rooms, HVAC installations, and industrial settings
Under screed systems as a resilient anti-vibration layer
Installation Guide
Under screed use:
Under screed use:
1.
Clean the surface from debris and dust.
2.
Lay SONOTIZ AT mats lengthwise across the area.
3.
Add a 5 cm wall extension margin based on screed height.
4.
Overlap adjacent mats by 5 cm to ensure continuous coverage.
5.
Pour screed at minimum 50 mm thickness or 80 kg/m².
6.
After leveling, trim excess edges and seal perimeter.
Wall & ceiling use:
Insert as a decoupling or damping layer within drywall or acoustic assemblies.
Suitable behind gypsum, under acoustic panels, or in cavity partitions.
