SONOTIZ ATA

Thermal & Soundproofing Roof Insulation

Purpose

Thermal and Soundproofing insulation for roof and structural applications, reducing energy loss and noise transmission.

Description

Multilayer fiberglass mat wrapped in aluminized spunbond. Combines SONO Eco core and reflective upper layer for superior thermal insulation, energy efficiency, and noise reduction. Mechanically pressed without adhesives, safe at temperatures up to 650°C.

Application

Ideal for roofs, attic spaces, interior/exterior insulation. Prevents heat loss, moisture buildup, and noise from external sources. Can be cut to fit around ceiling beams or structural components.

Delivery Forms

Mat: 1.5 m x 10 m (15 m²)

Thickness: 12 mm (±15%)

Density: 1.6 kg/m²

Weight: 22 kg/roll

Advanced Insulation for Roofs and Structural Surfaces

SONOTIZ ATA is a high-performance multilayer thermo-acoustic mat designed to provide excellent protection against heat loss and airborne noise. Its unique composition makes it ideal for residential and commercial buildings where energy efficiency, fire resistance, and acoustic control are essential.

The mat combines a dense fiberglass core (SONO Eco) with an outer nonwoven fabric layer (spunbond) and a reflective aluminized foil. This hybrid structure creates a barrier that reflects thermal radiation and absorbs vibrations and sound energy — efficiently reducing heat transfer and noise penetration. The binder-free formula ensures long-term durability even at extreme temperatures up to +650°C.

Product Structure and Material Properties

SONOTIZ ATA consists of three main layers:

  1. SONO Eco fiberglass core – non-flammable, flexible, and highly effective thermally and acoustically.
  2. Inner spunbond layer – adds mechanical stability and protects the core.
  3. Outer aluminized spunbond layer – reflects radiant heat and acts as a moisture barrier.

The mat is manufactured by mechanical compression without adhesives or chemical binders. This eco-friendly process yields a hypoallergenic, non-toxic product safe for long-term indoor use.

Key Features and Advantages

  • Multifunctional insulation: provides thermal resistance, airborne noise reduction, and light vibration damping.
  • High temperature resistance: performance maintained up to +650°C.
  • Non-flammable: fire class A1 – compliant with strict EU standards.
  • Moisture resistant: spunbond layer and aluminized foil limit condensation and vapour penetration.
  • Lightweight and flexible: can be cut on-site for installation around beams, pipes, and irregular surfaces.
  • Sustainable and non-toxic: free of formaldehyde, phenol, and VOCs.

Applications

SONOTIZ ATA is suitable for a wide range of insulation scenarios, especially where thermal efficiency and acoustic control are required in limited space:

  • Roofs: above or below rafters, in pitched or flat roofs
  • Attics: to prevent heat accumulation and exterior noise
  • Walls and ceilings: installed under plasterboard or suspended structures
  • Exterior cladding: supplementary insulation in timber, metal, or prefabricated constructions
  • Technical spaces: protects HVAC zones and equipment channels
  • Industrial use: in factories or warehouses exposed to structural noise or heat transfer
